Frost Devils
Excerpt from a Journal of the Immortal Researcher Lorita Blackfire
....The Frozen Badlands. The northernmost reaches of Artainia. A harsh, frozen wasteland virtually untouched by civilization. Filled with great beasts and afflicted by the harshest blizzards, not even Frost Elves would dare go more than a few miles in before turning back. The devils who live there, however, call the land Jan'Dasu, or "Cold Home." Among the beasts that inhabit the land, there is a small tribe of Frost Devils who call the land home. They usually stay well away from any of the few settlements in the southern parts of the region, content to live outside of anyones' notice. However, if they find anyone not apart of their tribe in their land, said individual is usually given the ultimatum of either staying with the devils for the rest of their lives, or being afflicted with an amnesia spell and dropped off in one of the southern settlements. The few times people have met them and managed to retain memories of the visit describe them as being fairly secretive, telling outsiders as little about themselves and their settlement as possible. It is known, however, that many of the Jan'Dasu devils are incredibly powerful. A few can even bend the blizzards around them, providing an area of calm around their settlement. Despite their power, however, these devils appear to simply wish to be left alone. They do not aid nor hinder anyone else in the world, staying out of any conflict and struggle. It is unknown why the devils are like this, but some theorize these "Neutral Devils" are guarding something found in the Badlands...
