The Core

Inhabited only by the crystals of the gods and the Child, a being of unformed potential, perhaps a god to be. Created by The Absolutes, the Core is a place hinted at in ancient lore, a place that arcane scholars barely believe exists. They philosophize, argue, speculate and even dream about it, but no god can recall it, and the Red Oracle herself was the only mortal to have ever visited it before... Gideon.
Twice he has come here and brought mortals to this place, once in dream, once in death. Both times it was... different, but they were different mortals, and the Core is greater than the capacity of mortals to understand.
And still, he does not know why it is, or where. Nor why the Child will kill him should they get the chance.
But the gods themselves past and present are also captured here - encased in clear crystal shells, and oblivious to the visitors in this dark space.
This is a place lit only with the magic of purpose and the light of what could be...
