Edward Hecate

A necromancer from a very young age, Edward Hecate honed his ritual magic skills to create the friends that he always wanted and no one would be while he was growing up among humans. The youngest son in a family with four boys, at the age of eight Edward's mother died in childbirth. His father Adrian Hecate was crushed by her loss, retreating emotionally from his family and burying his grief in his official responsibilities in the priesthood of Dwayna for several years. At the age of thirteen Edward's necromantic powers began to manifest, and brought notoriety to the family as necromancy is severely disapproved of amongst the primitive and superstitious humans. Seeking safety for his youngest son, Adrian Hecate used his political connections to have his son designated as an official envoy to the dwarven kingdom where he was unofficially adopted into the household of Urth Orehart, the dwarven king.

Edward, being human, was much taller and notably awkward and withdrawn socially from his dwarven comtemporaries. He developed into a seemingly quiet, studious youngster who progressed in his studies very rapidly, further isolating him from his classmates. Once he progressed into advanced secondary education, he studied biology, medicine, and necromancy and graduated with highest honors from the Arcane College at the University of the Stone Throne.
As a result of his necromancy, Edward developed several odd habits and a charming directness in his relationships with others. His love language is gifts. He habitually makes friends wherever he goes.
Tall, platinum blonde and muscularly bulky, Edward is quiet, but likes people... some of the time.
