Game Master
The Game Master is the over seerer of all going ons for the Station of Aros. They have full resposibility for the Golden Room, Aros Coluseum, Star Market, as well as employees and the sustainability branch.
Qualifications
One must have a higher education in buisness, entertainment, and hotel managment or an equivlant. They also must have a minimum of 10 years experience working or apprenticing in a similar position. Once these requirments are met they then spend another 10 years being mentored by the curent Game Master of Aros to learn the ropes and inner workings of the system.
Requirements
To become a Game Master it is required that the candadit has high Charisma and refined people skills. Another requirement is that the candadit must be of a long lived race as those with short life spans have less time to learn, work the position and train the next Game Master.
Appointment
When a new Game Master is appointed many royals and those with title and money are invited to stay for a month long celebration on the Aros Station. The celebration consists of large party games in the Golden Room, huge sales on the Star Market as well as an epic fight is the Colluseum in honnor of the new Game Matser. During the party there is a ceremony where the abdicating Game Master gives a lengthy speach introduces the new Game Master and presents them with the Game Masters Voice Box, a golden microphone that has been passed down through the roll since the Aros Colluseum was still grounded on the plante of Harfuel.
Responsibilities
The day-to-day resposibilities of the Game Master is to MC and judge all fights in the Colluseum, as well as manage all of the finances, recourses and decsision making processes for the Station of Aros as a whole. They are expected to make the final decission on any vendors that wish to sell their goods in the Star Market. They are expected to be seen and deal for some games in the Golden Room. They are responisble for making decision about crops being grown and other agriculteral neccesities within the Sustainablity Branch. The Game Master makes the Drift Corse and Fly plans for the station, making sure the drivers know where to go and the advertising crew know which galaxies they will travel through.
Benefits
Being a Game Master comes with many benefits. They are granted the top floor of the most lavish hotel on Aros. Everything is free to you with unlimited access. They are welcome to travel freely in many galaxies and solar systems and are granted one month every 2 years druing the Mainenance shut down of the system to vacation. The Game Master has access to some of the best resources available such as a galaxie renown personal chef and baker, top noch health care and dentistry, massage therapist and chiropractor.
Accoutrements & Equipment
The Game Master is required to wear bright and expensive cloths of the highest fasion. They are also expected the carry the Voice Box with them at all times as it is the symbol of the position and what allows them to be heard from anywhere on the Station.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
A Game Master can be removed from the position by a previous Game Master or by a unanimous vote by their heads of staff. A Game Master can only be removed if they are found to be dull or incapable of entertaining, neglect the success of Aros or its staff, have been imprisoned for more than 1 month or is unable to fulfil their duties as Game Master.
History
The rank of Game Master was first recoded in reference to the over seer of the original Aros coluseum on the planet of Harfuel. The first time the title was taken notice of was when aros had been launched into space as the first traveling coluseum. The Game Master title soon encoumapssed more than just the coluseeum when aros grew into a larger Station that housed the Golden Room casino and the Star Market.
Cultural Significance
There are many culters that have heard of Game Masters and each has its own feelings about it. Many planets have adopted the title for their own coloseums and casinos that have rapidly multiplied since the launch of Aros. Many see it as a coveted position that anyone can rise too where other see it as something only those of noble or privilaged birth can attain. Some culters feel it is an unnesicery roll ond that games are for children. The Meltarix Bundle was the most impacted by the rank as they built almkost a whole culter around it.
Notable Holders
A notable holder of the title would be Jaren Hugalfel. They are known for the shortest reign as Game Master on Aros, at only 5 years. Jaren had gotten a little to excited about the 10700th colosseum match and had danced to close to the edge of the announcers box and toppled over the edge and into the ring where they were trampled by 100 mutated Earthland Geese. notably, that was the only time Aros had been shut down since being launched, and also the only time a previous Game Master had been reinstated.
