the enviroment was harsh. nothing grew there due to the toxic soil. there was often wind storms there that could rip small building out of the ground.

The wind storms were a big phenomena on this planet. they have been known to destroy buildings and sweep people away. They often cause dust storms as there was no rain on this planet.
History
the planet had been used for mining and oil rigs as well as various other fuel resources. After 50 thousand years or so the planet had become unstable do the all the tunels drilled through it. It became harder, more dangerous and more expensive to find any resources on the planet. Eventually it was banned as it was deemed to unstable for work. A few lowbloods call it home though and a number of ragtag criminals keep invaders or pirates away.
