Head of Xola (hed / UH • v / ZO • luh)

Xola, a training institute and asylum for Realm Weavers, is set up similarly to a school. This school-like system means that a Headmaster/mistress of Xola heads Xola. The Headmaster/mistress' job is not only to help the training institute to run properly and train upcoming Realm Weavers but is also an essential role as the "leader" of and strongest Realm Weaver. The Headmaster/mistress must prove themselves to not only be a solid and resourceful Realm Weaver but they must also prove to care for the future of Realm Weavers and the disciples of Xola.

Qualifications

The Elders choose a Head based on three criteria: strength, resourcefulness, and care for the future of Realm Weavers and the future disciples of Xola.
Strength, the intended Head must be one of the strongest Realm Weavers in order to defend and protect Xola.
Resourcefulness, the intended Head must be a resourceful person who can do what is best for Xola and it's inhabitants.
Care, the intended Head must show care for not only the future of Realm Weavers but also the disciples of Xola as well, as a precaution against anyone trying to take the title for the power without any goodwill for Xola itself.   If the Elders feel as if the three conditions are met appropriately then they can decide to award the intended Head with the title of Head of Xola.

Requirements

Must be a Realm Weaver for a minimum of 50 years.

Appointment

If and when the Elders decide a person shall be given the title of Head of Xola an extravagant coronation ceremony is held for the crowning of the new Head. The ceremony begins with five elders standing at five points of the pavilion at the auditorium, then the new Head of Xola standing before two elders as they adorn the new Head with ceremonial robes woven by the elders with threads of the Realmaic barriers, the rays of the sun given by Cyra, and the rays of the moon given by Lusine. Following the robing, the Head will turn to a third elder standing behind them and kneel before the elder as the elder place the Guan Crown of the Head of Xola on their top knot (the new Head should be dressed in pure white under robes with their hair in a simple top knot before the ceremony starts, the ceremonial robes shall go over the under robes and the Guan crown shall go on the top knot). The final part of the ceremony begins with the new Head standing up and turning towards the crowd, the old Head of Xola will then give the new Head the key to the Head of Xola's Office as a symbol of the title being passed from old to new. The Ceremony ends with the new and old Heads bowing to each other before the old Head walks to stand behind the new Head, with the three elders forming 3 sections; the five elders in the back, the 3 elders, and the old Head in the middle and the new Head in the front. The new Head will then stand before the crowd as they congratulate them on the ascension.   Under Robes Ceremonial Robes

History

The following people were the first seven people to discover the Xola islands:
  • Zhihui (A Fabroni Realm Weaver and the first Headmaster of Xola),
  • Farren (A Dykumic Realm Weaver),
  • Hansra (A Dykumic scholar and Realm Weaver),
  • Brisa (An Anvindrian Realm Weaver),
  • Ryūjin (A Morrissen Realm Weaver),
  • Cyrus (A Fabroni Realm Weaver),
  • Circe (An Anvindrian Realm Weaver)
They were later the founders of the Xola training institute, with Zhihui becoming the first-ever Headmaster of Xola. Ryūjin, Farren, Cyrus, and Circe later formed the Council of Elders, which later became a Council of eight elders instead of four (two elders for each Realm [not including Terra]).

Notable Holders

Zhihui (Fabroni), the very first head of Xola and one of the first to discover the islands, was not only there when Cyra and Lusine staged a revolt against and banished Chaos, but helped them with the revolt as well.
Akira (Dykumic) alongside Sora, Zion, Cyra, Lusine, and a multitude of Dykumic scholars were able to piece together the (false) origin story that is passed along to this day.
Cato (Anvindrian) became close friends with Lusine and helped design the Celestine Calendar.
Veta (Morrissey) along with two other well-known and distinguished Realm Weavers were the ones to discover the use of Zephyrine.
