History
The Yuan-Ti once ruled over the islands of Eregoth during the Age of Dreams. Over this time they built cities of stone and magic; giant temples to the dark gods Dendar, Merrshaulk, and Sseth dotted the landscape. At the height of the Yuan-Ti Empire, no land was safe from their raids.
All this ended with the coming of the World Dragons. Kiryrth Myrrem Jayvos, the great Gold Dragon, laid waste to the great cities of the Yuan-Ti Empire. The Yuan-Ti only had two choices left to them: be driven into the sea, or flee into the Underdark. They chose the Underdark. For 300 years, the surviving Yuan-Ti fought the Drow that lived beneath Eregoth's surface, slowly taking more and more Underdark territory for themselves. Now the Yuan-Ti have an iron grip on the Underdark of Eregoth, where they wait to retake the surface...
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Yuan-Ti despise most other races and see themselves as superior. They send out spies and saboteurs to form cults among other humanoid species and weaken their lands for reconquest or raiding.
