Wylshor
Wylshor is a small town on the eastern edge of Eregoth, it is on both the coast and the edge of The Deep. The town is an important trade city that supplies most of the adventures going into The Deep, or moving northward toward House Thorm lands. Until recently the city swore fealty to House Rancourt, but with the rise of Lord Valkar and the non-support from Rancourt dealing with the vampires, Wylshor has broken off ties with House Rancourt, and is currently functioning as an independent city.
All of Wylshor was destroyed in the Tsunami caused by the fall of Zenos, but the people miraculously survived thanks to tunnels recently discovered by the Esfig brothers. The city is already being rebuilt, and is being built for a bigger population as well as being built more defensively from sea attacks and the Sea itself.
Demographics
A diverse population, with a slightly higher mix of Elf and Human blood. The town itself isn't rich, but is very self-sufficient.
Government
Wylshor used to be part of the Grand Duchy of Rancourt, and was under the different laws and taxes of Rancourt. Since the Battle of Red Lake, and the rise of Lord Valkar, Wylshor has been a self-governing city. Wylshor follows the laws of Eregoth, but no longer pays taxes or swears fealty to Rancourt.
Wylshor's government has a seat of councilors, a group of about 20 locals all voted in to protect and make Wylshor flourish.
Defences
While there is a small wooden palisade around Wylshor, the biggest defense from the mainland is The Deep, a massive forest that is controlled by Fey, and who are allied with the people of Wylshor. Kashmult is also a major defender for Wylshor. A Centaur who has lived in Wylshor his entire life, Kashmult is incredibly kind to the people and travelers, but he is incredibly deadly to his enemies and those who harm his home.
Infrastructure
Wylshor is a merchant city on the eastern coast of Eregoth, and is one of the entrances/exits for the adventures exploring The Deep. That being the case it has many different stores located near the docks, for easier trade.
Assets
Wylshor is not a big town, with only a population of 1000. That being said it boasts quiet a selection of stores that can outfit many adventures and travelers, as well as a harbor with two slips. This shops include
- The Apothecary: Arkhan the Alchemist owns and runs this establishment. He is an older gnome man.
- The Blacksmith: Rosario owns and runs this establishment. He is a Kenku, incredibly strong and is attuned to a headband of intellect.
- The MagicShop: Edwin owns and runs this establishment. He is a young human, blond short hair, average height and weight.
- The Tailor's: Alma owns and runs this establishment. An elegantly dressed Goliath, she has an eye for what looks good on people.
- Anchored Vulture Culture Club (Inn): The Anchored Vulture Culture Club is the nicest building in all of Wylshor, as well as the only Inn. It is ran and owned by two Half-Elfs the Esfig Brothers. Kolt Esfig is the bartender and doesn't talk much. Tarvin Esfig runs the card table, and will listen to anyone who plays his game.
Geography
The land itself is semi-hilly. Wylshor was built in a clearing on the edge of The Deep, so it is surrounded by the forests and coast line. The beach is very beautiful, with soft rolling sand dunes. The water channels are very deep, so ships have an easier time traveling the coast around Wylshor.
