Jeweled Giant Inn
Located just off the main road in Fellbridge, the Jeweled Giant Inn is the best place in town to get a drink, a bite to eat, or spend the night. It is well-kept as far as taverns go, with a clean common area. Food is drawn fresh from the local area, with many types of spirits along with fresh-caught fish or game from the nearby river and forest.
Purpose / Function
Tavern serving the town of Fellbridge. Common fare is 2 silver for drinks, 4 silver for meals, and 10 silver or 1 gold for a bed for the night.
Architecture
The building is two stories tall and made of wood sourced from the nearby forests. Floors are raised wood planks, which stops moisture from the ground seeping up and ruining them. The center hall is wide and runs from the door to the main counter and kitchen, is full tables and chairs, and has a small hearth. Rooms for guests are in wings on the north and south side. The front side has a covered porch overlooking the main road in town, and features a sign bearing a mug of ale and the tavern's name.
History
The Jeweled Giant is a reference to a legend from the Dawn Age that is responsible for the founding of Fellbridge. Ograth the Tyrant was a cunning giant who raided Soulforge, City of Heaven of Moradin. He met his demise near Fellbridge, and he is sometimes referred to as the Jeweled Giant for the great wealth and treasures he stole.
The current owner, Brock Stanbrook, bought the tavern from its previous owner in 128.
