Kingdom of Vellarmere

Located in a beautiful mountain valley to the north, Vellarmere enjoys many natural protections and resources.  
The frigid north is kept at bay by two blessed shrines which enchant the northern rivers and halt encroaching fogs.  In the south a single mountain pass allows entry to the rest of the continent and keeps the Rel Republic at bay. 
The lords of Vellarmere enjoy a great amount of autonomy due the the gentle rule of the Vellar family.

The more populated highlands sit on a plateau above the more rural lowlands. Large cliffs separate the two and make traversal difficult. The Lowlands are ruled semi-independently as a vassal state to Vellarmere.
