Languages
The Languages of Argeth are as varied as the cultures that speak them.
According to legend, the original language was inherited from the the Founding Dragons as they spoke to the first Peoples. This language is known as Darastric, and is considered the root of all civilized languages.
Aside from Darastric and its descendants, there are a few other language families that formed as the Peoples spread across the world:
Primordial, a simple and harsh language understood by the Guardian Dragons, but its origins are lost to time.
Taranic, rooted among the Elves who began to wander Argeth before even the first civilizations on Tibur could form.
Undercommon, a shared language of the depths that is spoken almost exclusively by the strange creatures of the Underdark.
Skovenic, a mysterious language spoken by the magical creatures of the Feywilds.
Opossic, various related language families, united under one writing system, spoken on the eastern islands of Oposs.
