Basic Information

Anatomy

Animen are very similar in shape to Humans, with 2 legs, 2 arms, and an upright stature. When Magic was part of the world, Animen typically reached heights an average of 7-8 feet. Without magic, Animen heights are similar to humans of 5-6 feet. Their skin type is around a warm brown, however it gets darker the more south you go. The Animen can be described as an 'Acorn Race'. This means that when you look at a box of acorns, they are all relatively the same the same shade of brown. However a couple darker and lighter ones are spread throughout the bucket. Animen are all relatively brown, however the shades can vary slightly between them. 
The tones are slightly darker to what you would expect humans to have (with the exception of Whispermen). Every Animan has deep brown hair, and sharper facial characteristics.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Animen have the ability to transform into a specific animal form. Which form is dependant mainly on genetics, with location being a small influence. It is common to see wolves, rabbits, and deer in the North, while in the South it is more common to see camels, lions, and parrots. Animen gain the ability to tranform when they hit puberty, and it is considered a rite of passage with families. The only human trait they retain in animal form is their eyes.

It is accepted for Animen to have both male and female lovers, however it is customary for the opposite sexes to Marry and have children
