The Cathedral of Humility

The church or cathedral is a four story tall building with a domed roof. The structure is divided into four sections. The Bottom most sections functions as the main entrance area. The general public are able to enter her and view the ornate silver artwork. The floor is filled with 12 murals, one to each of the original members that founded the faith. Each member is depicted in supplication with the image of a silver dragon flying through the air above them. The second level of the cathedral offers private rooms were faithful can go and offer silent prayers to the divine. The third level of the cathedral features living quarters for all of the members of the clergy in this area. The sub-level features the church's vault.

The Church of the Everlasting priorities bringing mercy and grace to every one in the world. The church embraces the idea of forgiveness believing that every single soul can be saved. The church maintains a large set of financial assets that it keeps in its underground vault. The church's income mainly comes from the amount of donations that the church receives nearly daily. The various priest of the Church refuses to receive any form of income outside of what is needed for their survival. The church has also collected several holy relics of the millenia. No one knows which relics they currently have but they are believed to be very potent.

History

The Church of the Everlasting was founded by a group of acolytes two thousand years after the battle between the Gods and the Fallen. The group believed that the world had seen more than enough violence and apprehension so they formed the Precepts of Mercy. A code that committed them to following the guidance of the Dragon Goddess Dyvra and her pledge for Mercy for all beings. The small group has since blossomed into a Church that has two significant bases of influences. The first is in the Dragon Empire, the second is the Church in Eshonia. The Church of the Everlasting has become a symbol of the people

Tenets of Faith

  1. Every member of the church makes a vow to never seek finanacial power or influence. They are to only take what they need. Greed is the foe of mercy
  2. Every member of the church is expected to provide their services to everyone no matter allegiance or behavior. Every soul can be redeemed
  3. Every member of the church must give everyone the opportunity to repent and gain forgiveness. Mercy must be freely given
  4. Every member of the church is expected to tend to their needs. Mercy must be shown to ones self in order to share it with others
  5. Every member of the church is encourage to pass on blessings to every person. No matter how small. Acts of fortune are hidden, small acts today can be large tomorrow

Priesthood

The high priest serves for life or until they retire. Each high priest is selected by majority vote of the current priests in that city. The priests are trained and selected from the heralds. Heralds are trained for their positions starting as acolytes. The churchs internal structure is very similar to a pyramid

Granted Divine Powers

Healing: Some legendary priests are rumored to be able to resurrect the dead in mind and body. Followers of Dyvra also have access to the divine spell list including spells of levels 1 and 2
