Havlic Peninsula
The Havlic Peninsula (Old Havlic: Kiorràchuzɔ Hãvlais) sometimes called Ossienia (Old Havlic: Ossiènio) is located to the southwest of Arkodia and is the homeland of the Havlic Empire. The term originally referred to the area around Tsilaio and Pania, later during the reign of Emperor Ngavlitsias its usage expanded to the entire peninsula down to Metara. "Tsilaian Peninsula" (Kiorràchuzɔ Tsiŋàioro) has replaced this original usage.
Geography
The peninsula spans, from north to south, about two thousand kilometres. As such its climate is very diverse from one part to another. In the north there is a vast open tropical savannah at the centre of which lies a small rainforest that connects to the wider Sondamian rainforest. South of the savannah lies the flat steppe, perfect climate for grazing beasts and raising heunnox. The rest of the peninsula is mostly humid continental climate with some forests and some subtropical sandscapes on the coasts. The very south of the peninsula is a tundra inhabited by PLACEHOLDER.
The peninsula as a whole is generally flat. Not a single mountain range to be found, due to the rather passive tectonic plate boundaries. Nonetheless there are still some rivers, but not many. The largest river flows from the northern hills down all the way to Tsilaio.
