Heunnox (enPR: ˈhyoo.nŏks, IPA: /ˈhjuː.nɒks/)

The heunnox (Old Havlic: chèundoxus) is a domesticated mammal used widely across Arkodia for transportation, mounted combat, pack animals and sometimes beasts of burden. Their strong, long legs and form allow them to not only carry substantial weight but also gallop at high speed. Different breeds of heunnox have different characteristics, some being more suited as for heavy labour and others more suited for speed.
They are traditionally bred by Kolmorish people.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

The heunnox is native to the open plains of Kolmor, they later have migrated to other parts of the continent such as the Havlic Peninsula and they were later introduced to Tsedria. All of these regions offer flat, wide open fields fit for grazing.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Heunnoxes are herbivores, their diet consists primarily of grass and other small plants. However they are capable of digesting a wide array of fruits and vegetables.
