Charitable Deductions
William DeFino has requested the aid of the party in fulfilling some of the Firelight Family's philanthropic endeavours. A reward was not stated for the completion of this work.
DeFino claims that the family has been attempting to secretly disperse money throughout the city, an endeavour motivated by the tragic disappearance of their son three years prior. One of these endeavours was the establishment of a poor house in Ratsong. The party has been asked to help persuade the local homeless and vagabonds to move into the home.
The homeless shelter appears to be used only by a handful of itinerant travelers, not by the intended homeless. It has space for 99 guests, but remains vacant.
The building had five paintings, one of which was determined to have a magical Divination effect applied to it. Wash feigned damaging the painting accidentally, and the party was allowed to take it under the pretense that they would get it repaired. The staff were largely disinterested.
Vathash was able to study the item further, and found that the painting would store a record of what it "sees" for its master to later review. Having learned this, Vathash concluded that the party could take it for their own use.
