Tal Rana

Ah, the Tal Rana, also known as the Book of the Planes. One of several books I wrote. Hmmm? You don't recognize me? I'm hurt! It was I who introduced you to this world! Tsk, tsk. Such frail memories you mortals have. But I digress, the Tal Rana is one of a set as I mentioned earlier. Together, they are known as the Books of Creation. This book, along with the others in the set, inspired mages to create other books similar to it. However, it was later on realized that this was a very very bad idea. The theory went, that by doing so, they can create an infinite library within a single book. Many sought to experience this for themselves and it was then the dreadful mistake was realized. You see, only a handful ever returned. The soul and consciousness of the individual exploring the book would get lost and never know the way back. In the case of the Books of creation though, many refuse to read them for that reason, to be certain but there is another. They say that those who stayed for too long, became themselves, new additions to the book. Trapped for all eternity with all their memories and experiences becoming naught but chapters and pages within. But hey! That's a rumor! Come on! Give it a read! I promise you, it'll be worth it! Wait! Wait, wait, wait. Ok how about a teaser eh? Imagine being more powerful than any mortal that ever existed! No? Not worth it? Ok how about more powerful than the gods themselves! Ah ha! No seriously, I wouldn't if I were you. *Giant Red eyes appear out of nowhere surrounded by darkness and you hear a bestial growl* Yeah he wouldn't like that.
