Aldous is a very stubborn man. He wanted to journey to the Frozen North to start up a business. He was shocked to find out the Frozen Kingdoms had no actual port city. Instead of turning back home, he elected to build a port city. Took him time to get the letters of writ from both kings including deciding on taxes. Eventually he convinced both to let him operate without taxes as his port city would bring in more people willing to spend more of their coin within the realm. After getting the letters of writ, he set about the long process of building up the town. He invested all his coin into having the dock and tavern built. Since then, he's been slowly collecting up coin, people of skill and the material he needed to build them homes. This small town isn't much but he worked hard for every foot of land and fought even harder to preserve it from the Ever-Storm, the Giant raiders, the rogue Elementals, the beasts of the land and idiotic adventurers. Ain't much, but it's his and he isn't done building it yet. No where near done. He managed to work a deal with Spark and Flame's Magnificent Emporium of Magical Items thanks to a group of adventurers who were business partners with them. Since then, the economy has been in a bit of a boom and he's looking to spend the coin wisely. He always has use for a group of young adventurers who are in need of a job.
