Church of Worship

Structure

The entire organization is communal ran. The highest-ranked Cleric is the one with the greatest connection to their diety and is often turned to for advice, but no one has taken an actual role of leader.

Culture

The core nature of the church is to provide the people of Terris a conduit to their deities. Since being displaced cuts you off from the deity you worship, the displaced clerics pool their faith into a concentrated point in order to allow the adepts to receive their daily prayers. Clerics are the sole providers of clean food and water to the city before Erin's Wish.

Public Agenda

The clerics of the church are public servents in the most literal sense of the word. Often times they only take what they need and donate most of their supplies to others who need it more. Members who join are expected to abide by basic humility and rule of law. The clerics of the chaotic orders have agreed to these terms and consider Terris Burg hallowed ground, and has put aside any grudges until they escape.

History

A Cleric with no connection to Divine Magic is nothing more than a fighter. The Displaced Clerics banded together and presented plans for the House of Worship. A collaboration project with all divine orders working together. It was agreed upon by the various Orders to seal away the words "Good" and "Evil" while they are in this purgatory since those concepts have fallen away now that old enemies pray next to each other, pleading for a whisper from their patrons. Once the House of Worship was built, the Clerics spent weeks concsecrating the grounds and every stone in the building. for almost five years... the chanting echo'ed through Terris Burg. At first, it was disharmonious and unnerving. Wailes from primal worshipers mixed in with the angelic chorus of secular worship while the drum beats and bells from more exotic realms clashed in a disharmonious disaster. After a few years, the practitioners adapted, and even melded their practices into an amalgam of worship. This synergy allowed enough Divine Magic to be focused on one point, and breakthrough the mists into a nearby realm. With this new connection, every cleric has restored their spells up to the second level. It wasn't much, but the gift was enough to save their flock.
