The Dwarven Trade Union

Dwarves shape rocks and minerals better than anyone else We eat, bleed, and sleep our craft... I don't care if you're the god of smithing himself... a Dwarf will always do better.   ~ Drumstrig Hammerfall, Dwarven Trade Union: Head Smith

Structure

The organizational structure of the Dwarven hammer is simple. Everyone listens to Drumstrig Hammerfall.

Culture

The blacksmith contains all the artisanal tools and allows all the crafters to produce their wares. Since there's no real money in Terris Burg, everything is made "as needed" and often is not of the best quality, but more functional over fashion.    It's not that the dwarves don't take pride in their wares, it's just the lack of new tools, supplies, and regents are in short supply, and often times they don't have the proper materials to craft anything more advanced than basic weapons and armor.

Public Agenda

The Dwarven Hammer was founded for the purpose of supplying the people of Terris Burg with the tools and wares they need to build up the city and survive. Often times they would be crafting farming and artisan tools over swords and armor.

Assets

The Dwarven Hammer houses all the material and crafting components in the city. Local artisans often venture to the blacksmith's shop to use their tools and artisan spaces.

History

During the foundation of Terris Burg, The Dwarven Hammer was one of the first buildings created. The need for tools and weapons was a priority. Luckly, a few dwarves were displaced with their tools, and were able to get a head start mining out raw materials.   It took a few years, but the small band of dwarves managed to establish a mineral-rich ore vein that still supplies Terris Burg with raw materials to this day.

Demography and Population

The Dwarven Hammer is the central location of the Dwarven Quarter. Some workers are Non-Dwarves, but those are few and far between.

Territories

The Dwarven Hammer's territory is the entire Dwarven Quarter.

Military

The The Dwarven Trade Union doesn't need an army as every dwarf is trained in the art of combat.

Technological Level

The smiths can create all manner of tools and weapons, the capabilities are average though, due to the material and nature of Ard'Vanwa can be of... questionable quality.

Religion

Those who work the forge all pray to the same god... the god of the hammer. There is no worship to anything other than hard work and effort. Dwarves who commune with dieties do it at the House of Worship

Foreign Relations

With such an important role, Most of the dwarves are taken seriously. No one wants to be given sub-par equipment.

Agriculture & Industry

The Dwarven Hammer provides all the tools and manual labor for Terris Burg. This includes constructing buildings, fixing and mending tools, as well as other manual construction.

Trade & Transport

Weapons, Armor, and artisan crafting tools.

Education

The Dwarven Hammer has an open apprenticeship program. Should a resident show talent and skill, a member of the Dwarven Hammer will take them under as an apprentice.

Infrastructure

Due to the volitle situation of Terris Burg, the infrastructure is in a fragile state. Drumstrig Hammerfall runs the smithy with an iron hammer, and he keeps order... violently.

The hammer is the soul of all Dwarves, their passion burns as hot as their forge.
