Grimoire Ostachary

The Grimoire Ostachary, more often simply called the Ostachary or the Grimoire, is a collection of parables associated with the Host of Hosts. There is no universally agreed-upon version, but most copies contain the stories of the Creation, the First King of Kings, the first Spring, the Feast of the Longest Night, Gleirea naming the animals, and a handful of other stories.   The power of the Hostly faith comes principally from the spoken word, so Ostacharies are of debatable value. Most often, they are kept at lord's estates for when daughters are taught to spell. Such daughters will rarely read anything else, and many abandon the practice as they grow older. Because of this, many Ostacharies also contain love stories in which the Hosts figure only tangentially, or else include tales of Bethan and her many misdeeds and mistakes, as cautionary tales for young women.
