Forh Rheodzah Settlement in Ardre | World Anvil

Forh Rheodzah

One of the two fortresses holding the Mouth, a mountain pass in the Yash Bayakar Mountain Range.   The Fortresses were built adjacent to enormous sphinxes. The Sphinxes each possess a leonine body and serpentine tail, along with eagle's wings, a feathery mane, and a head that is both serpentine and aquiline. Erosion has made it unclear whether the statue's mouths are beaks or snouts. The Rheodzah Sphinx has the curved horns of a bull, while the Vylkun Sphinx has the curled horns of a ram. Despite this, scholars and adventurers claim that both Sphinxes are described as female by the Sithindadri, the mysterious people who hold the fortresses.
