Clipp, called Trade Tongue

A very young language, Clipp evolved out of the Pukavi languages, various dialects used back when the Pukavi were enslaved to the Mornal Empire, intended to communicate without their overseers knowing. The language really began to flourish after the Empire's fall, however, when the various freed peoples of Northern Olveiria, seeking to escape the restrictive structures of newly formed nations, fled north to the Atakloszan Commonwealth, bringing with them their various ancestral languages.   Today, Clipp has almost as many dialects as there are trader families, but most everyone can understand everyone else. Although the Mornal Tongue is still the language spoken throughout the land, virtually all seafaring folk speak Clipp as easily as breathing, and many suspect it will soon replace the Mornal Tongue, at least in the Atakloszan Commonwealth, and possibly in the various nations of the Ferrakhilian Sea.
