A corruption of the Aernigh word for "Foreigner," Clan Corrich was founded by three families of Khabarese laborers, who banded together and moved east during the Khabarese Crusade, seeking out work and freedom from the conflicts of larger settlements. The three families intermarried with one another, both to secure their identity as a clan and due the fondness born from familiarity and shared challenges. Orton was a small town defined by the Mines of Orys Canta to the north, and the newborn Clan Corrich quickly devoted themselves to this industry. It was only a few generations before their children were intermarrying with older families. After the Khabarese Crusade officially ended, only a few Corrichs elected to move back west to the capital of Arjhed, with most remaining in Orton. They continued to rise in respect as their contributions to mining increased. Clan Corrich has been the chief family of Orton for nearly one-hundred years, since Clan Mynock's last two male members left the town (one south into the Eskiwood, one northeast to Cantef).
