Carnai Steppe

The primary western expanse of the Carnad Diarchy. Many battles were fought between Carnad and the Reishold of Wundun in ancient times, but unlike most hereditary conflicts, this was not resolved by the formation of the Batsalian Union, but by Carnad's superior horses and horsemanship. They would eventually push Wundun west to the Spiral Sea, establishing the "Three Queens," great fortresses used to hold the Steppe until the formation of the Union brought peace to the two nations.
