Aankheki, the Giants of Uur Uqad
The Aankheki are a race of one-eyed ogres that once roamed the the fields of what is now the Four Great Satari Kingdoms, especially near the banks of the Great Bariad River, and by all evidence seem to have died out long before the Yenai first left the Cradle of Yaalk. Nevertheless, their massive skulls were discovered by many a peasant in the ages before the Holy Qhaganate of Zalja. Ironically, it is the ignorant farmer who is more likely to deny these creatures' existence than the learned scholar.
By legend, the giants are associated with the ancient Uur Ai, with some myths going so far as to say the giants fought alongside the Uurs in their ancient wars against the Ikhans.
