Raw'tan Harvesters

You Only Need Two Hands To Be Rich

Raw'tan is the future, child. Learn how to harvest it without loosing a hand and you'll never be hungry again.
— Master Harvester

The life of a raw'tan harvester is a lonely, strange and unique one. These experts make a living travelling across the Danatelian Lands hoping to find a spring of Blood of the Earth. Harvesting raw'tan once can be enough to secure sums of money that would last a life-time, if spent wisely. As such, it is a profession prised by many who dream of a better life.

However, harvesting raw'tan is notoriously difficult, and attempting to do so without any sort of training risks both one's life and the purity of the raw'tan. But as there are no official guilds or schools, and each harvester teaches their own method, Danatelian authorities have a hard time regulating the activities of raw'tan harvesters.

Many young people get roped into shady apprenticeships, where they are taught poor methods for exhorbitant prices. In most cases, these yoyung people never manage to actually find raw'tan springs, but there have been a few incidents where an untrained fool decided they were up for the task and lost their lives in the process.

Professional harvesters are pretty rare. Between those who die early and the ones who retire after one successful harvest, there are very few who remain in the trade for long periods of time. Whatsmore, the unpredictability of raw'tan springs requires them to be constantly on the move, hoping to be at the right place at the right time to harvest the raw'tan.

Tools of the trade
