The Technocracy of Mechan
Located far to the north in the highly volcanic Mountains of Mechan, the Technocracy of Mechan is by far the most technologically advanced nation in the world. They posses an unbridled passion for work and progress and won't allow anything to get in the way of it. The people here resent magic in all of its forms except for when it is strictly necessary. The nation is ruled by the greatest intellectuals in all of Mechan resulting in a highly efficient society where everyone does their part without complaint.
Structure
The High Council of Technocrats rules Mechan. Each member of the council is the foremost expert in their field of study and is selected for their position from a lesser council that focuses only on said field of study.
Culture
Mechan values work and productivity above all else. Everything they do is to make their works better and more efficient.

The agenda for Mechan is to constantly improve itself and make said improvements easier.
Assets
Mechan has an abundance of iron, coal, copper, tin and other such metals to facilitate advanced engineering projects. Their large army of combat automata provides them with a tireless military. Being the only nation with the knowledge behind gunpowder allows for advanced weaponry that gives them an even greater edge. With the Mountains of Mechan being so volcanically active they have no need for castles or border defenses.
History
Founded only few years after The Sundering, a group of people who lived in what would later become the Principality of Tor fearing for the safety made a gamble to move to the recently created mountains to the north. This choice was a hard one to make. To the south of them were massive hordes of monsters that would've slaughtered them to a man. While to the north was a volcanic wasteland, fortunately these people were master builder and dug their new home under the mountains founding their new kingdom which they would name in honor of their god.
Demography and Population
All races and ethnicities are welcome in Mechan and the countries population is steadily growing every day.
Military
Mechan fields a large army of automatons that can be rapidly deployed to absolutely crush anything in their path. These advanced machines are coveted as mercenaries by other nations and the Technocracy is willing to provide them with strict restrictions. The navy of Mechan may be smaller than most other nations but it is far stronger and much faster, utilizing steam power to power the mighty warships and large gunpower cannon capable of leveling entire armies.

The mastery of the steam engine and knowledge of gunpowder gives the Technocracy an unparalleled edge in tech.
Foreign Relations
The Technocracy has a strict policy of isolation when it comes to interacting with other nations with the exception of trade. The Principality of Tor however has a close relationship with Mechan.
Agriculture & Industry
The Technocracy has no agriculture whatsoever, however they have the most well developed industrial sector in the world. They manufacture steel and and various alloys that fuel their engineering projects. Coal is burned to produce the power these factories require to operate.
Trade & Transport
Mechan maintains an extensive network of underground tunnels connecting all the cities of Mechan and even connect to the border with Tor. Mechan mainly trades for food with Tor and occasionally with other nations as well.
Education
Every single person in Mechan receives and extensive education in whatever field of study they both enjoy and are skilled at. This allows them to work more efficiently in society. they attend large universities starting at the age of 5 and only graduating at the age of 18.
