Great Desert of Anshar
Home to the Anshari and The Sultanate of Anshear . The Great Desert of Anshar is a blistering hot wasteland that does not support much in the way of life in it's interior save for the few oases dotted about or the occasional lake or river. The people who do call this land home build near the water and nowhere else. Many of these villages are comprised of tents as the sands won't allow for heavier structures to be made.
Geography
Located at the southern end of the continent and surrounded on 3 sides by a vast ocean and @Sand-Guard Mountains to the north. The Desert of Anshear is incredibly hot and dry except for a small number of oases, lakes, and rivers. The western end is dominated by The Boneyard , a horrific hellscape of a salt flat. To the east is a vast land of sand cut in two by a large river.
Localized Phenomena
Sandstorms and dust devils are common to the desert and are wholly unique to it.
Fauna & Flora
The Desert of Anshear has little in the way of plant life in the desert itself aside from the occasional cactus. However near bodies of water palm trees and various shrubs grow alongside cultivated farms of dates and figs.
As for animals there are a small number that call the desert home. The most notable and fearsome of which are blue and brass dragons that make their lairs deep in the desert away from prying eyes. Occasionally one might find a pack of hyenas scavenging for food around a settlement. Camels are very common in the desert as a form of transportation and thrive in the heat and dry landscape.
Natural Resources
The only real natural resources in the great desert would be gold, silver, platinum, marble, and sandstone.
History
Not much is known about the desert itself other than it didn't exists before @The Sundering.
