Scarn
Kingdoms, queendoms, empires. Ruins. We've watched the world through fire through frost, from nations spring and their final winter. A wheel of a cycle that keeps spinning it's spiders weave. Malforming, corrupting and weakening the souls of creatures once valorous and honorable. Long have we waited, long have we suffered to know, what awaits us in the afterlife. Finally, our patient whispers have been answered. So foolishly they forced the third eye open and tore appart the veil, thus unleash a terrible curse onto this world. Yet within this curse, beyond the gates of death he sent to us his ravens. No longer shall we idly wait, as the time for action and valor draws close. As the crow devours the spider, the age of lies is over and the cycle broken. Now beggin the age of legends, heroes and honour. Soon the Aasar will be reborn, to free our souls from Arcath's darkness.

History
The Northerners name themselves the Aasar-Skjald, which means righteous children, or rightfull children in their language. The word is also based on the Aasar whom are believed to be a group of ancestral heroes, born inside the mystical realm, which they refeer to as a pathway between the different astral realms and reality.
These different champions would, if the stories are to be believed, have come from different existances and realities to fight a common enemy that fused all the realms into one massive cluster. This experiment came to be known as the universe, an empty void filled with bloody theaters of chaos, that is run by the souls of the different realities. These creatures that the souls inhabit, would play for the darkness amusement. Living, acting, dying and returning once more, to take a new form.
The heroes went first hand to this realm, and through ages of fighting managed to banish the foul entity, thus releasing his grip on the souls and allowing them their return to home. However, knowing that the darkness would soon return, they sacrificed their own souls and bound them to the universe as gates to protect the realms in all eternity.
