Roseharbour

Demographics

Roseharbour is known as the center for maritime trade within the region of Floeur. It's population hence mostly consists of sailors and traders, which has caused a great disparity in wealth classes where a fourth of the city is wealthier and live in large estates next to the city coastlines, where the ordinary fishers, seafarers and workers live in the larger, less lavish district. The average low income class is by no means impoverished though, yet as the city grows the slums are increasing as jealousy breeds crime.

Government

Though they are a part of the Falcon Order, the city remains strictly governored by Benard marq van Paine and a handfull of handpicked governors and witch-hunter commanders, rather than a nationally chosen representive and government. The reason behind this, is the vast numbers of cultists, assassins and spies of hostile factions which flood in through the city and into Floeur. Hence, the city has rather harsh taxes, laws and a lot of magic regulations.

Infrastructure

Electricity, as a new resource is both rare, complex but oh so valuable. One of the things that keep Roseharbour afloat as a trade city, is it's electrical batteries that they create through windmills that pump energy into battery stations and the electrical grid of the city, which runs the large floodgates into the harbour.

Districts

Roseharbour market square: A lavish garden, filled with trellises and roses, that make up a large harbour full with trading stalls, ships and trading stalls on top of ships. This district is world reknowned for rather than being extravagant in jewelery, gold or fine architecture, there are just roses all over the place, in many different colours and shapes. The market square also plays the host for some of the local merchant lord's estates and businesses.   Upper Roseharbour: The rest of the city, were factories, stores, stables and rows of housings combined with local inns, theaters and the rest of complexes and buildings needed to keep a larger city running, are based. This district is most known for hosting guildhalls.   Blackrose slums: A spread of 'corruption' within the city, where crime escalates and the lamplights remain dark even throughout the nights. Here, brothels, syndicates and cults take root among the apartments and storehouses, though through the eye of the common man - these streets look just like every other within the upper city.
