Myrwineth
"I am the mistress of the stars. The gatekeeper of the universe. You shall all hail me as your rightful queen of Faekind. The one to lead us from a dying world into a new beggining. One which shall unravel to us the secrets we need to once more return to our homeland, not as a weakened race on the run, but as a conquering dominion on the rise!" -Myrwineth
The Keeper of Secrets
Praised as the herald of magic and the leader of the Elven Pantheon of Gods - known as the Scions. Myrwineth takes the shape of a beautiful elven woman with steel gray eyes and flowing locks of hair as if made by the strands of wind. She represents all things the elves consider to belong to the secrets, such as magic, exploration, scientific discovery and astrology. It is said that she holds the secrets of the universe in her hand and thus her appearance shifts from dusk to dawn to best suit the time in question. During the days, she is warm, loving and playfull. During the nights, she is grim, cunning and serious. Something which is portrayed in her appearance as ever shifting from her two different shapes, as both the maiden of gold as well as the maiden of silver. The First Queen
The elven title of God-Queen is a symbol of being the direct champion of Myrwineth. To wield a fraction of this scions power as her own. In the elven lore, it is said that this has come to be due to the title being created by Myrwineth herself, who first lead the elves away from their fallen world of the Fayrealm and into the mortal realms of Equilibrium. Granted the seeds of the Eldertree from her dying realm, along with three relics to grant her the powers of a god, the first of the scions lead her people to the Isle of Celestia. It as there that she founded the Elven Empire by first planting the seed which came to be the Mothertree. For many ages, the Immortal God-Queen ruled the lands. Overseeing her people as their grand protector, to the day that the humans came. When the newly formed elven provinces went to war with the humans over their rapidly expanding borders, the God-Queen came from her homeland to assist her people. The vassalisation of the human race proved harder than anticipated though, as Myrwineth would eventually fall in battle against the God-Emperor of Mankind, who pierced her heart with a burning arrow.Religion
Myrwineth is one of the figures most prominent in elven arts and literature, not only for her role as the leader of the Scions, but also as a godess often worshipped by those who value culture and creative traditions such as painting and writing. This also extends into the realm of science, where most Sylvhar that dabble in such territories tend to have a personal shrine of her at both home and work. She is most praised by those who dabble in magic though. Especially magics linked to astrology. Her faithful, being known as the Myr Tiravash, are known scholars of the stars and self proclaimed cartographers of the universe. Even though their cartography is limited to what they can see through their telescopes. Myrwineth also has a special form of magic said to be tied to her by elven culture - that of astral magic. While there are several different sects within Myr Tiravash that use this magic differently, the base is that it utilizes energies drawn from faith, astrology and chance. Something which makes trinkets such as tarot cards, dice and even bones previvalent mediums to channel this magic. Different casters also tend to lean more towards either the Maiden of Gold or Maiden of silver, as it is believed the godess only favours each mortal with one side of her duality. In Sylvhar lore, the reason told she herself had proclaimed for this, is that not all secrets should be uncovered and it is better to focus and learn in one area, than stretch oneself thin scratching on the surface of all magics, though never learning to master the deepest secrets of one. A conflicted meaning, but one which is considered a dire crime to go against. Those who pledge themselves to both sides of Myrwineth's duality are called the Children of the Eclipse. Otherwise known as a cult of murderers and shadowshapers that pledge loyality to the third version of Myrwineth. The Eclipse Maiden. While those that pledge themselves to the Maiden of Gold are said to burn as radiant as the sun, while those pledged to the Maiden of Silver are as wise and cool as the moon, those who pledge themselves to the Eclipse are as devious and dark as an endless night.
The Orbs of the Celestial are known as two of the artifacts Myrwineth brought to Equilibrium from the Fayrealm. These relics have been considered too powerful to be carried in the hands of any one singular individual though, hence after the God-Queen's death, they were given to two new regents. The Emperor of the Sun and the Empress of the Moon. Both which are said to give the individuals holding them the ability to turn into great wyrms.
Each peculiar orb also holds power of certain domains. The Orb of the Moon having powers of time and ice, where it can freeze, accelerate or even pause the world around it for a few moments. The Orb of the Sun having powers of fate and fire, where it can burn, see the possibilities of the future and force the hand of fate - to an extent.
