Leviathan - Abyssal Lord

Biography of Occult Entity

Physicality

This entity takes the shape of a massive whale, about two hundred meters long and over forty meters wide. Its weight is unknown but speculated to be around seven to eight hundred tons.   The creature visibly has no eyes and most of the head consists of a massive maw with steel hard teeth shaped like jagged razor blades.   Instead of flippers, it also has two scythelike formations that go out its sides like arms. Each able to propel the creature forwards, launch it out of the water and also cleave through ships like fields of hay.

Personality

Leviathan has a most gluttonous personality where they seek to feed on any and anything that is sentient or built by sentient creatures. Oddly enough, it seems to be more interested in devouring things that do not naturally belong to the oceans, rather than prey on lesser animals. Something that might be considered positive, lest this apex predator would eat the seas into extinction.

Aspiration

As a creature that is little else than a whale from the voids, it might not come to any surprise that Leviathan has no other aspirations than survival.   It is however closely linked to the aquatic race known as the Glòin, as a part of their abyssal pantheon.   They are considered an omen of famine and sickness, believing that for as long as Leviathan remains chained and drained of their umbral power, everything is well and calm. Should the beast break out of its containment though, it is a sign for the glòin to unleash a putrid crusade against the world above as a means to feed the seas.

Capture

Unlike most other abyssal lords, Leviathan wasn’t captured by the hands of Kasus Khzar. Rather, the glòin themselves managed to cage the beast by utilizing an odd lightning harpoon to stun it.   This relic has been named the Leviathan slayer and has ultimately been left at sea in the hands of the glòin. As these creatures are believed to be less of a danger themselves just as leviathan, by remaining locked up in the abyss.   In the event that the glóin would release this creature, it would be of paramount importance to retrieve this relic out of their hands. Or potentially, recreate it.

Archives

Subject: W4HL3: - Leviathan   Threat level: Medium   Manifestation: This entity manifests through a massive, twisted fin in the ocean, followed by a two hundred tall tail. If you spot this sign on the ocean, say your prayers to whatever god you believe in.   Powers: This creature does not have much in the term of special powers, though being a gargantuan whale with echolocation is more than enough to make it a serious threat.   Dangers: As if an aggressive whale with an aptitude for vengeance wasn’t enough. This creature is even more violent, though with steel thick skin and a dampening layer of fat. Razorsharp teeth that can snap a blue whale in two along with a pair of scythes for arms sharp enough to pierce through the hull of an ironclad.   Weaknesses: The main weakness of Leviathan is their immense size and the fact that they are unable to provide a threat on the mainland. This creature is easily monitored and avoided which thus also opens up options to plan ahead ways to defeat it, sometimes without even endangering anyone.

Notes of an Interrogation:

Through the capture of one of these Glóin, we can now tell that the Leviathan is a creature with the power to constantly regenerate its body. Even without physical sustenance, as its soundwaves corrupt and drain magic within the waters.   The creature itself is constantly being drained of its warped oil, feeding some underwater temple where allegedly the rest of their pantheon lives.   Peculiar, perhaps I should give them an unauthorized visit.
