Personal history
Born long before the Global Ward was created, Aurelius is one of the few to gain immortality much like his wife, Andromeda.
In his youth, he was a traveler believing the best studies came from experiencing rather than solely relying on tomes and scrolls. These travels lead him to develop many theories and working with Andromeda, who he met in his travels, and developed the arcane focus. The effects of this were immediate and it was not long before he was lifted into the higher echelons in magus society. Initially, he detested such attention and circumstance being comforted by Andromeda and learning what amounts to court etiquette.

Aurelius is demiromantic and demisexual.
Failures & Embarrassments
Much like his son, Aurelius blames himself for not doing anything to stop Revnyx from creating the ward believing that if he had been there he could have kept Revnyx from dying.
Aurelius believed that Artemisia only saw their relationship as platonic, even when he realized he was feeling romantic feelings for her, missing several obvious cues including but not limited to: wanting an article of clothing he wore when he would travel afar, presenting him with gifts, doing his hair.
