Auxiliary Legions
Each LEGION of the Army of Vell had an Auxiliary Legion that shared its number. This Auxiliary Legion was under the command of the Coronel of the Legion to which it was attached. It was composed of those who wanted to serve, but because of nationality, stature, or status were not acceptable as recruits to the Legion itself.
So Younger and Older citizens, Those that could not pass the Legion physical exam, Those of tribal groups too undisciplined to allowed into the legion (or those coming at a time when there was insufficient time to train them), and any one else not allowed in the Legion could go in the Auxiliary. There they began their training, and could serve as 2nd class units supporting the Legion. Pay was less, but so was the iron hand of discipline so some chose to stay although most of the better soldiers would eventually join the Legion itself.
Composition
Structure
Roughly equivalent of the Legion, but with exceptions made for small bands that joined the unit en masse. These groups were too large to break up, but too small to be considered an Allied Legions.
