Oah/ God of All-Cosmos

Watcher of the Meta-Rim/ Martyr Savior

"Oah teaches us that All-Life is out there- somewhere, in the vastness of the Aether. There are lifeforms on other planets that we've yet dreamed! The Listener of the World-Songs will speak to you; when you listen to those who speak of their wildest fantasies, of worlds yet unexplored, bestow them the gift of your Time and listen to them. They will inspire you as much as Oah's stories. Through the prophecies of dreamers he beckons to you to open your eyes so that the Source of All-Life may ebb and flow through you. This magical world within you gives voice to the World-Song; let your voice be heard!"
— an Oracle of Oah, the All-Cosmos Gospel

Oah is known as the Watcher of the Meta-Rim, the Sage of Contingencies, the Original Construct, the Wounded Star and the Keeper of the Red-Veil Vault. These are but countless titles bestowed to the most ancient entity in the All-Cosmos. Having existed before the creation of the New Cosmos, Oah is a Timeless entity who was forgotten after the Original Creation. The Oracles and Diviners of Oah keep his name alive as the Martyr Savior.

He is a benevolent deity that represents Meta-Physical concepts of Origin and Eternity. Oah appears as a nebulous of starry constellations that bears a crimson scar of starry matter around the heart. His eyes and hair appear as fine starlight, shining opalescently about his sublime features.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Arcane Eye

A starry Arcane Eye upon a scarlet Red banner

Oah is represented by the Origin of Magic, the Arcane Eye. This symbol best represents the relationship of Source to All-Life.

Within it's framework, there are 6 Original Sources- Arcane, Divine, Elemental, Ley, Natural, and Realms. Each contains a number of Sources within, forming the microcosm of the Original Source. Spells, domains, and deities all derive their abilities from Sources.

Oah holds the Original Source of All-Life beyond the Red-Veil Vault.

Those that worship Oah may incorporate those elements into the designs of their holy symbols.

Tenets of Faith

Oah's Oracles are often astronomers by trade, using their divination abilities to provide helpful insight through reading the stars, as well as people's fortunes through birth charts.

They believe that the coursing nature of magic extends beyond the Realm of the Cosmos which Oah presides, but beyond. He watches those as well, listening to everything from the Meta-Rim. He interprets the World-Songs, and gently guides them towards their resective destines by manipulating the Cosmic Ley of Fate. Oah has been known to work with other Deities towards that end.

He is a benefactor, passive creator of the Aether and the Cosmos from which it is formed.

Though he is unable to leave the Meta-Rim by conditions left behind by the Original, Oah communicates with other Deities and the collective of his faith. Those who would attempt to cross the boundaries of the Cosmos or tamper with the Primal Creation of Time are often dealt with long before they could ever become a problem. Oah sees the future from a Timeless Realm and often provides admonitions through his heralds .

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Those that have seen Oah describe him as a tall, androgynous being, whose features are neither entirely masculine or feminine, young or old. His eyes and hair are said to be spun of starlight and his body is adorned in the fabrics and folds of space.

Apparel & Accessories

Oah is clad in a robe of starlight, appearing in any form of dark stellar blues, purple, or red. White is also a universal color associated with Oah's vestments of constellations and starlight.

Specialized Equipment

Oah wields a device that appears like a long ladle, but it has also been described as a trident, or a staff tipped with a globe. Interpreters theorize that the weapon is Morphic and bends to Oah's Will. It has been drawn with a scroll, suggesting that it contains Oah's Manuscript, which contains every spell that can be conceived by any entity. It is said to grant him the ability to draw up any material, from any World or dimension, through the Meta-Rim. He is able to manifest cosmic events or conjure any form of food, drink, item or being through using the ladle to draw it safely into the Meta-Rim. Oracles favor the Rod as their spiritual weapon, favoring enchanted Rods with wondrous abilities.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Oah is the Eternal Witness and the dreamer from beyond the Meta-Rim; wherein lies the Throne of Aeon, seat of All- Cosmos. Oah is associated with Time & Space, Magic, and mysteries of the Universe. The story of Oah is the subject of the Origin Mythos, which describes the end of All-Life and the creation of the new cosmology.

Oah was wounded at the destruction of the Galaxia Loci, a serpentine spirit of carnage that delivered Oblivion in an event known as the Cataclysm. With fragments of his heart scattered to 5 Worlds created upon the Loci's death, Oah was bound to the spiritual realm of the Ley Anima while All-Cosmos was teetering between absolute annihilation and the future of All-Life.

Due to the heroics of Hoqon the Champion, a noble spirit that appeared in a miracle, Oah's heart was restored. He returned to the Meta-Rim, but his deeds were remembered by his daughters, the Story-Teller Sisters, Goddesses of the Word.

The Origin Mythos Timeline of events is provided below.

(The Timeline is WIP, as with all parts of the Pathon project, are subject to change~ Myth X.)

Gender Identity

Oah appears as an androgynous figure but he is identified as a Masculine Principle of the Universe. This is in direct polarization to Amede, the Feminine Principle of the Soul, whose figure is also androgynous but feminine in representation.

Oah and Amede are the parents of four daughters, born during the events of the Origin Mythos. In order of relative age, Mynemestra, Goddess of Memories; Vetao, Goddess of Chronicles; Pradei, Goddess of Music; Uxonyke, Goddess of Sagas. These are the Story-Teller Sisters, who feature in the later mythos.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Oah is the proud savior of All-Life. During the Silent Millenium, a vast empty aeon between the destruction of the Old Cosmos and the Creation of the New Cosmos, Oah defeated the entity responsible, the all consuming Galaxia Loci, and broke it into new celestial bodies. The World of Pathon and the 5 Planets, Iethon, Bothon, Fuuthon, and Daethon, are the closest planets to that event. The rest were scattered, forming their own Suns and galaxies beyond. Oah died but inevitably returned in the events of the Origin Mythos.

Oah is a Father but he is unable to leave the Meta-Rim to visit them. Instead, he will have audiences with them, as they are among a small group that can visit him within the Meta-Rim, the abilities of which are beyond most mortals.

Morality & Philosophy

Oah is kind to his followers who have kept his name alive throughout the Ages. He was said to exist alone, a relic left behind in the throes of Original Creation. He blesses his Oracles with divine inspiration, new spells, and stories from Worlds far beyond the known Cosmos. His duties are to preserve the cosmic cycles, of Time, Space, and Matter. He teaches of the relationship to the mortal as Source and his followers learn of the Meta-Physical truths of reality. Oah guides humanity towards the stars, where his domain promises new voyages into territories unknown.

Taboos

Oah is forbidden from materializing within the physical realm. The intense pressure of his presence within the Ley Corpus is enough to damage the All-Cosmos. The only time he was permitted entry through the Meta-Rim was when he saved All-Life from the Galaxia Loci. Otherwise, for him to do so would undo the very essence of his role as an eternal observance of the Prime Creations. Oah is the Sage of Contingencies, the final witness should All-Cosmos cease.
