Life, Identity
In Windwood Village the villagers were varying degrees of unhelpful. Most because they genuinely didn't know much and some because they seemed afraid of Yeissal. However, the group did find out that Heska had been there and he had a gang of mercenaries with him. They had been staying at a nice old halfling woman's house and she was happy to give them the information that she had which wasn't much but she did say that Heska and the others went out into the woods every day, seemingly searching for something. Yeissal and the others set out to see if they could find Heska when the old woman told them that he should've been back by now and she was worried.
Searching in a forest known for its howling winds and density wasn't easy but Matty took one of her potions allowing her to fly and flew above the treetops. Up there she heard a loud boom and saw a cloud of smoke coming from a clearing some distance away from where they were. They hurried in that direction and what they found was in some ways what Yeissal had expected and in some ways different. The cabin was in ruins, the bodies of the mercenaries strewn amongst the rubble. Heska was alive but badly wounded, looking up at a hooded figure that was about to plunge a wicked looking dagger into his chest. Yeissal and the group managed to stop the figure but as it looked up and the hood fell back they were looking at someone identical to Yeissal in everything except for the hair. This stranger told them, after having to bear a round of attacks from the group, that her name was Yaoszia and she was Yeissal's sister. She had thought that Yeissal had died in a raid that happened against their family when they were children in which their mother and sister were killed and Heska had been part of the group that killed them. Yaoszia was then joined by a man who also looked eerily similar and he told her that they had to leave, that the others were waiting for them and they disappeared into thin air. Yeissal and her group managed to get Heska back to the friendly old halfling woman's house. Heska tried to explain what had happened in the past but Yeissal was too hurt emotionally to really listen.
