They spent the day travelling back towards Imperos before Lilith summoned her magic tower in the evening when it was time for rest. Azzabin and Nyx decided to go plant another bean. Out of this one grew a tree full of delicious fruits which they picked. Seeing as that was such a success, they decided to plant another bean. However, this time a treant grew and looked at them with evil intent, heading to attack them. Seeing this, Azzabin and Nyx both cast fireball at it and in the process started a forest fire. They backed up and the treant followed, animating two other trees to attack them. Another fireball was cast in this area and caused the forest fire to grow even larger. They managed to vanquish the treants but now they had a forest fire on their hands. They tried to get it under control but in a forest with so much wind blowing in every direction, the fire was spreading fast.

Seeing this, Azzabin gave up on trying to get the fire under control and decided to eat another of the fruits he'd picked from the magic tree earlier. The previous ones had been fine so he thought that this one would be as well, however it poisoned him and for a minute or so they thought that he was going to die as Matty and Nyx desperately cast healing spells and gave him healing potions to keep him alive. Azzabin finally managed to fight off the poison in his body and recovered.    Azzabin went into his ring to avoid the scolding he was being given by the girls. The girls went back into the tower to try to process everything that had happened.    Later there was a knock on the door of the tower and outside was Izel, Yeissal's brother. He told her more about their family and the sect that they were part of, warning her that they were incredibly dangerous and that she shouldn't trust Yaoszia or Ixtli as they bought into the sect's teachings while he had doubts and didn't want to do the messed up things they were encouraged to do. He left after a short while, saying that he had left Ixtli a bit away, giving him an excuse for being gone for a while.    After Izel had left, the girls realised that Nyx wasn't in the tower. He was found at the fire, trying to put out as much of it as he could in the underbrush to stop it from spreading further. They brought him back to the tower and eventually they all went to bed.
