After arriving in Drifthorne and spending the remainder of the night at an inn named The Sleeping Shipmate, the group decided to explore the city. Yeissal woke up earlier than everyone else and headed out to look for members of the dragonborn clan that she had been adopted into - Delmirev. Asking some guards she was told that some of them often frequented the temple of Bahamut. Drifthorne's temple to Bahamut was an extraordinary building of smooth stone, setting itself apart from all the other buildings with its tall tower, a platinum statue of Bahamut on top. Inside Yeissal spoke to one of the acolytes, a dragonborn who turned out to be part of the Delmirev clan. Her name was Irierann and Yeissal spent a bit of time talking to her.

Back at the inn, the three others were having breakfast. Iris decided to go out and buy drums and as she headed out of the Sleeping Shipmate she ran into a man who was just heading inside. He was a seven foot tall man with pale blue skin, even paler blue hair with shaved sides and he had small tusks sticking out of his mouth. An air genasi with half-orc features, he flirtatiously introduced himself to Iris. His name was Max and he was there to hand out flyers about the performance taking place that evening at the House of Happiness. He offered to show Iris the way to a music store and on the way handed out flyers, Iris helping him. Once he'd shown her to the shop he headed back to the inn to hand flyers out to the customers there. As he handed a flyer to Seraph he gave him a wink.    Yeissal returned to the inn and Iris did as well as she'd bought drums. They decided to go to the performance that evening. First Nyx and Seraph wanted to go to a blacksmith to enquire if they could make them a candle mould and put in an order for that. They also went to city hall and looked at the job boards there. A new job was just being posted, about livestock thefts and a murder that had happened out in the farmlands next to the city. They talked to the guard captain, a half-elf named Emma Venrel, and took the job.    That evening they headed to House of Happiness, a large stone building with three floors, located in the Upper Tree district. Max was waiting for them and led them to their balcony seats, taking their orders which he had offered to pay for. Once he'd headed to the bar to get their food and drinks, Seraph joined him and asked if they could sneak away somewhere later. Max agreed to it before they headed back to the others with their orders.    During the performance of the band, The Silver Strands, Max and Seraph sneaked away backstage to have some intimate fun.    Iris suggested to Yeissal and Nyx that since The Silver Strands was from the capital, maybe they could bring them with to there once their tour or whatever it was was over. Yeissal was more sceptical but eventually agreed. They filled in Seraph on the "plan" to get to speak to The Silver Strands and perform for them to be brought along with them. They asked Max if he could help and he reluctantly admitted that the violinist, an air genasi named Celyne, was actually his mother. He agreed to introduce them but warned that it wouldn't be easy to impress them.    The four adventurers had an improvised performance in front of The Silver Strands and Max, but they were rejected despite Celyne trying to vouch for them in an attempt to get into the good graces of her son. A bit dejected, the four were led out by Max and they said goodbye to him to head back to the inn. They'd have to get up early the next morning to head out in the farmlands and do the job they'd taken on earlier in the day.
