The Unseen
Operating outside Collegiate Arcanum is a group of powerful mages who believe that magic should be freely available to all, rather than being controlled and monopolized by the College. The Unseen is made up of rebels, outcasts, and individuals who have been wronged by the College, and they seek to overthrow the council and bring about a new era of freedom and equality for mages. The Unseen are known for their guerrilla tactics and their willingness to use their powers against the College and its allies. They are considered to be dangerous and unpredictable, and many in Arbor live in fear of their attacks.
For many of the lower class the Unseen are seen as saviors rescuing their children before the college can find them never to be seen or heard from again. Where the College will cut all access to parental visitation and such the Unseen do what they can to train young people in their homes and allow them to stay with their parents.
In here it depends a lot on who you ask, some see them as freedom fighters attempting to throw off the tyranny that the school represents and others see them nothing more than a menace hurting their own cause by launching these attacks again the college, it is quite a divisive subject
As are with most things the Upper class see no problem with how things are run in the College why shouldn't those who cannot pay be given an opportunity to give back what they owe after all they picked themselves up by their own bootstraps so shouldn't everyone in the world. As such they view anyone with favorable ideas about the Unseen as seditionist and traitors to Arbor and its institutions.
Alric, a young mage who was trained within the College, challenged this oppressive system by secretly training and empowering others outside of the College's control. He created a series of secret documents, disguised as children's books, that could only be understood by those with magical abilities. These books were distributed among the people of the Third Ring, a location within the city where many of the poorer and less privileged people lived.
The College initially paid little attention to these books, assuming that they were of no consequence an act of charity by one of their own that they could point to for a show of generosity. However, when a few Placement Assistants (individuals tasked with identifying and recruiting potential mages) stumbled upon a young girl who already had a basic understanding of magic and the will to resist capture, they realized the significance of these books. Despite the College's efforts to locate and confiscate the books, they were charmed with anti-divination magic and remained impossible to find.
As a result of Alric's actions, a group of mages outside of the College's control began to form, banding together in opposition to the College's oppressive practices. The books continue to exist and provide an opportunity for freedom to those who possess them.
"They hit the college again this week, I really don't think they're any better than those baby snatchers" -unkown
Public Agenda:
Publicly the Unseen seek to undermine and dismantle the oppressive nature of the College at every turn possible. They exist as an antisis to the college and their goals and will stop at nothing to ensure it is brought low and those in power are punished for what they see as a great injustice. They also spend much of their time preaching to those who will listen and attempting to secure gifted individuals before the College can find them.Public Perception

History:
The Collegiate Arcanum is an organization or institution that is focused on the study and practice of magic. It is known for being a prestigious and exclusive institution, and only those with significant wealth or connections are able to attend. However, it has a reputation for being oppressive and exploitative, using its power and influence to maintain a strict hierarchy and to keep those who are not able to afford its high prices in a state of subjugation.Alric, a young mage who was trained within the College, challenged this oppressive system by secretly training and empowering others outside of the College's control.
