Noah Decker

To stand against the crushing weight of capatisim and live one must be an extrodinary person. That is what Noah Decker is though and the The Dockers are thankful to have him. Noah was the last living heir to the main branch of the Decker Family though much of the fortune was spent on securing the seat on the Silver Council, and all of the good will was burned when Noah spurned and went to war with the other Old Families. Noah is something of a spark of hope then in the city of Arbor an example of how the city could be run. But Noah is also a smart man andknows that revolutionaries rarely survive the opening salvo and he's made it though one way already and fears his luck would not last a second.

Appearance

Noah cuts quite the sight on the docks when he is working them. A handsome man a small goatee and mustashe kept trimmed and neat but not excessively so. He rarely dresses in anything that couldn't survive a drop into the water should the need for such things arise. He has soot gray hair and piercing yellow eyes, he is a shadow touched human and as such his skin does not tan like many of the other Dock Workers much to his own dismay.

Personality

Noah is a kind man with a strong sense of justice. He has seen first hand what the trappings of power of money can do to those who have them and he wants no part in either of them. Noah has endevoured to spend as much of his resources helping the ones he can in the small amount of territory he has managed to claim for his kin. However Noah is also aware of his own mortality many close calls occured during the conflict that allowed the new Dockers to exist. So he is pragmatic and knows he cannot save the whole city on his own so he bides his time.

Background

Noah is the illegitmate child of Amy Decker and an unknown Dock Worker, though they met and conciened of Noah as an act of love there time together was brief and from any records Noah has been able to acquire the man was killed shortly after the short trist they shared. His mother died when Noah was but a boy but he remembers her as a kind woman who loved him with all of her being.

Formative Years

Noah spent much of his youth from then on in orphanages and with the families of other Dock workers many of who knew Amy and took her in as one of their own. HE also witnessed first hand the cruelty of the Decker family and what they were capable of. Families forced to work under conditions that would break even the strongest of people, loads so large they could not be lifted and torturous punishments for those who did not mean the quotas that the family assigned to them. Several events would happen in rapid succession that would lead to a permanent life long hatred of the Deckers and all they represented.

A spark to light a bonfire

During an inspection there was a member of the Decker family who percieved that a young boy had slighted him besmirching his honor demanding a duel to settle things. The Deckers were famous for this usually it would only result in a few hits with a training blade and that would be that. Not today though Noah watched as the Decker man squared up against a child who could barely even lift the sword that had been given to him. When the Decker man inevitbly disarmed the young boy he drove the blade into the childs eye killing him.

Enough

Noah was a young man, and demanded that the Decker man face him as his honor had been slighted by witnesing such brutality. The Decker wiped his blade of the childs blood and said why not the boy was barely worth the warm up. Noah asked if he could use any weapon he liked and the man said sure, this was the last mistake a Decker would make as on the other side of the city a simlar duel was taking place. Noah picked up a 20 foot long length of iron chain used to hold the ships to port slung the thing over his shoulder and squared up. When the duel began the Man had no idea what to expect as Noah leapt back and swung the chain out at him with such velocity that the crack of the whip echoed out over the city like an explosion. When the sound finally stopped echoing the man had been split in half folded over himself dead.

The Deckers come looking

For some time after that Noah went into hiding believing the Deckers would come for him for killing their son, they never came for that but nearly a year later they did come revealing his parentage. For a little while Noah felt sick that he shared anything with those horrible people. They promised him wealth, power and comfort beyond his imagining. Noah though overhead what he wasn't meant to he was the last Decker and as such held the power of the entire family.

A Change

Noah took the riens of his family and with it transformed the Dockers company. wresting control from his family and its branches into the hands of the families that worked there. Much conflict occured during this time but coming out the otherside the Docks would be changed forever.

Relationships

Noah is currently single though many of the Docker families have attempted to set him up with any of their members and many of their members have shot their shot. He always rebuffs these advances kindly but simply states that the Decker family should end with him.

Allegiance

Noah has a strange allegieance to a creature called Patriot who aided him during the conflict and has been at his side since.

Abilities

Exceptionally strong from his lifetime of being a Dock Hand. Shadow touched allowing him to move between shadows.

Equipment

He carries a locket that has a picture of his mother inside it.
