Patriot

Appearing as if from nowhere Patriot was a savior to the people of the The Dockers during the timultious years before they managed to establish themselves as a proper company. A hulking 15 foot tall sentient construct from The Ember Golem Core Patriot appeared just before the troubles really began. Wherever he is from though many still regard the hulking creation as a friend of the Dockers and one of the main reasons that they ever stood a chance against the combined might of the Factory Bosses and Old Families that stood in their way to gaining their independence.

Appearance

Patriot is a 15 foot tall construct supposedly made by the Ember Golem Core though no makers mark or anything else has ever been found to suggest such a thing. Composed mostly of slightly rusting steel and brass it is a bipedal creation with a single glowing orange eye. One of it's hards has been replaced by an oversized cannonball which it uses to whallop down on enemies and it's other hand is more slaw than hand. Much of Patriots exterior is covered in dials and the internals that are visible seem to be festooned with gears and pistons that seem to allow him to move. The plate just below his chin can and does open on occassion revealing a large resonating crystal that upon a few seconds of charge unleashes a 5 foot wide beam that you better not be in the path of.

Personality

In a word unrelenting, Patriot will persue enemies of the Docker families to the ends of the earth if it deems them a threat. Pursuing them across Arbor if they have ever dared harm somone under it's protection. When he is just walking around the docks though he is calm and slow rarely speaking at all. Many believed that he was just some experiement by a mad boy or something let loose. It was when the populace began interacting with it that many took it to belive the creature had a soul. Patriot seems to respond in much the same way a grandparent would slow moving but simply watching and always answering with a small but profund kind word or sentence to children in particular who would ask it questions. So a gentle giant but one that does not tolerate those who come after his people

Background

Patriot just suddenly appeared one day in the Docks, from every report of those times it was first seen walking around in the docks and seemingly looking around helping to load a ship.

War Times

After the fighting started this is when Patriot was named, it was seen all over the battles that took place multiple sighting all across the docks and they never seemed to happen in any pattern and some of the time they were simultaneous. There were also signs and reports that it had been destroyed but every time a report of its destruction would happen, Patriot would be back the next day right on the front lines though maybe with a few more dings and dents. It is no exaggeration that Patriot kept the Dockers in the fight far longer than they would have been able to manage on their own, and in a way became a symbol for them to rally to, the chants went up "When Patriot appears we fight!". Holding everything together for so long came with victory and when Noah Decker gained control of the Docks officially and the fighting stopped Patriot was hailed as one of the revolutions heroes.

• As a Construct Patriot is immune to all diseases, poisons or any other mundane affliction of the body.
• Patriot is also exceptionally strong and capable of ripping men in half or crushing them under it's feet.
• A large chest weapon that has been seen wiping out whole squads of fighters and thugs.
