Neran

The current leader of the The Gatherers is a wily Furred Beastkin by the name of Neran. His method of advancement was like many before him finding out and reporting that one of his fellow Saplings had begun dipping his hand into the companies coffers. With the position of leader now firmly in his grasp much of the Gatherers wait to see what kinds of changes the man will make to the organization. His nature as beastkin and Fae Touched means he is closer to the nature of the tree and from some accounts can feel when a Dream Fruit is about to drop perhaps this means a return to the gatherer roots and some of the old ceremony or maybe it means that Beastkin will get more of a fair share of the bounty of The Great Tree, at the moment everyone is waiting for what Neran will do.

Appearance

Neran has two huge goat hors growing from the top of his head that curl around into sharp points that he's had dipped in brass. A Scrawgly beard and full mane of hair along with a penetrating stare that can wither any man. All of this along with two powerful goat legs that propel him across the roof tops of Arbor at break neck speed.

Personality

Neran is something of a straight lace man from all accounts. He does not abide by thieves especially those that would take from those that have so little. It is this attitude that led to him pursuing the line of investigation that would eventually land him the position of head in the first place. Outside of this Neran is someone who is deeply revenant to the Great Tree and The Order of the Fallen Leaves having been raised by the church all his life he still attends service every day.

Background

Neran is an orphan having been abanonded by his parents very young on the foot steps of a church in the 2nd Ring, likely a child of a trist between a Human and a Beastkin that could not be denied so easily. The church afforded him a place to stay in the orphanage, the time spent there was one of quiet contemplation, discipline and structure. Neran was a promising child gifted with talents that made him desireable to the Order they began training him and molding him into a person who could do great things for the church in the future. Impressing on him that the people would be saved if only they could come back to the Order from the debauchery they now found themselves in.

On to greater things

Opportunities arose to place Neran into The Great Tree Workers, he was not gifted in the right ways to become a Seeker nor did the church believe he would survive long enough to be useful but the Gatherers were another story. Using what influence they had left Neran was placed into the Gatherers and slowly but surely more opportunities arose for him to ascend the ranks and eventually he was at the top.

Relationships

Given his station many have tried to court the man Neran but few have succeeded it's rumored that there is someone who holds his heart but he has never confirmed this.

Allegiance

• The Great Tree Workers - Neran is loyal to the orginization that puts food in his belly and place to contribute to Arbor
• The Order of the Fallen Leaves - Neran was raised by clergy from the order and holds them in irreproachable regard he is one of a growing number that are howling for a return to when the Order held control of the city
