Maxine Louise Missing

The Red Union is lucky to have Maxine. A true hero and savior to many in the city. Maxine exemplifies what it means to be a Firefighter, much to the chagrin of her counterpart Jonathan Garrett Lambkin who would much prefer she only save those who have purchased insurance from The Red Union. However a little red tape has never held Maxine back and these days it's only a matter of time until she does away with it completly should push come to shove.

Appearance

Maxine appears rather young to be leading up the firefighter side of the Red Union, however due in part to her status as a Flame Touched the progress of time upon her features is far less pronounced than it would otherwise be. Aside from that here eyes seem to take on the flames themseleves and practically glow with ferocity when she becomes agitated or excited. In addition to that across her dark skin are small red lines, pockmarks and other blemishes that have the appearance of lava peeking through her skin. Her light soot gray hair is usually left loose and she is always in the red coveralls afforded to her by her position as Chief.

Personality

She is a person for whom the phrase first in last out was written. Maxine is a woman possesed and fears nothing and no one if it means saving even one more life from the horrors of fire. Outside of her job she has a pragmatic side reconciling the predatory practices of her employer with the fact that for now at least the money allows her to save a few extra lives each day. She is however not a cunning person and does not plan she does the thing in front of her and moves on to the next fire to fight so to speak.

Background

Maxine was originally from the Twigs and from her own telling late at nights after one too many Glide survived the Great Fire that ravaged it many years ago. She attributes her survival to her flame touched nature and there must be some amount of truth to that but there is a look in her eyes when she tells this story about a deep regret that is difficult to pin down or understand.
Despite her tragic past though at some point she found herself on the Red Union's doorstep looking for work and after many years and quite a few close calls she was promoted to the head of the Firefighter division.

Relationships

Maxine is married though she prefers not to divulge any information about her personal life she still always wears her ring.

Allegiance

Maxine has loyalty to the members of the Red Union who serve under her and few others.

Several of the usual Red Union instruments and gadgets but nothing special.
