The Baleful King
God-King of Conquest (a.k.a. The Goblin Chief)
The Baleful King is a centuries-old goblin demigod of strife, domination, and war. Born during the end of the Dark Age during the rise of the Golden Age Heroes, The Baleful King is so ancient that his name has become lost to time. He is the founder of the city of Ter'garak and the prominent religious and political leader in goblinoid culture. Goblinoid legends tell that the king stood within the flaming lake of earth known as the Boiling Precipice and struck home with his blades with such force that the molten earth moved, forming the stone and metal icicle-shaped structures that form the city.
The Baleful King is said to have features of all three goblinoid races. He has the hulking form and savagery of bugbears, the green skin, and cunning of gobs while having the face and intelligence of a hobgoblin. He wears a crown of blades inlaid with various magical gems. The blades of his crown are so sharp that they cut into his skull, sending a constant stream of blood into The Baleful Kings' eyes, making them glow red. Larger in size than even the most enormous bugbear, The Baleful Kings' strength and skill in war are said to be without equal.
