The History of Aradeia so far

The Elves and Dwarves have always inhabited these lands. To these days, noone is sure how the mortals came into being. The Omni make up the greatest population of Aradeia. They count humans, halflings, mixed folk like tabaxi and amphibians, arborans and gargoyles, orcs and shadelings (what you would call tieflings) to their group.
Back in the day, there were also smaller folk like faeries and gnomes (both less than three feet tall), one flying, one bound to the ground beneath them. In a horrifying display, the Dwarven King at the time called his men to get rid of them, killing them all. There are rumours that there might still be faeries somewhere, but people keep hush about it.   Other species have been reduced to very small groups; especially mixed-folk that have similarities with rodents and small mammals or bugs.

Needs & Relations

The Immortals

  • Elves: Elves are considered as the most arrogant and straightforward folk of Aradeia. They usually grow to reach 1.60-2.00 metres, have light to medium tanned skin, slightly tilted eyes and high cheek bones. Their bones are denser but thinner than from most species, making many of them very delicate and flexible. They are quite durable and have an increased regeneration rate, making them excellent fighters and quite resistant healers. Many have markings on their skin that resemble a density equal to scars. It's a mystery among the mortal folk whether these markings are a procedure like tattooing or something that Elves are born with.
Generally speaking, Elves do enjoy company but see them far below them.
  • Dwarves: This species is a proud and stubborn folk living in the far South of Aradeia. They are blunt and stern, but some of them shine with their warmhearted and easy-going nature. They are often compared to the materials surrounding them - rocks and magma, gems and metals. Their height lies between 1.30 and 1.70 metres. They love feasts, mead and ale, and pork and beef from the bone. Don't let their simple way of life mislead you. They have a strong and longliving tradition that keeps their society afloat. Dwarfs are known to be very welcoming, but quite gatekeeping. They rarely mingle with the other folks, keeping their family lines as pure as they possibly can. They are also known to be folk that is most likely to attack.
