Lumaia's Letter to Erínia

Dearest Erínia,   four years, I've searched everywhere for you, four decades, your name has been sung through the streets of Sithaline and still, I cannot find you. After our argument, you left the palace so hastily, erasing your aura from magical view and mechanical detection. How can you leave me alone so suddenly, my dear? What have I done to deserve this mistreatment?
Am I not your mother? Have I not given you all that you need and want? I do understand that you were upset I forbade you to wield your father's staff, a relic so near and dear to your heart and mine. Our tradition dictates that only the kings of this land are allowed to use it and become the healers and mages of many. You took it with you, but as soon as you noticed my traces on its bark, you left it in ruin, fleeing as far as your delicate feet could carry you. Since then, none have heard about you or seen you. What a shame, don't you think? What a shame. How should I lead our folk without my heir by my side?
I hope you're still alive, moon flower. Your brilliant eyes are a rare sight in these challenging times. I'll wait another millennium to see you again. May your heart be led by sunshine and lightning.
  Love,   your mother

Purpose

This letter has never been sent, but was meant as a way to communicate with Erínia, the only daughter of Queen Lumaia, Queen of Elvenkind. To her dismay, her daughter suddenly left after a rather mouthy discussion in her office. Erínia used her magical prowess to completely vanish from side, avoiding any form of detection. It is said that Lumaia herself who has a strong grasp on every single citizen of her kingdom can't find her and fears that her daughter might have become a part of nature without her realising.
