Grand Library of Sithaline

As you pass the city bridge to Sithaline through the mountain passage, getting your documents checked at the guard's post and stating your business, you arrive at the central plaza. From there, you can take the public rail system (a fast and rather dangerous net of travelrails for the brave and the skilled) or ask for a carriage through town. Taking one of these options, you take one of the roads that lead to the west and cross two further bridges to finally arrive at the vibrant Grand Library of Sithaline.

The building is beautiful to look at and even more interesting once you're inside. Stained glass windows carry a gentle light into the entrance hall. In the middle, guarded and serviced by a handful of Elethien Elves in dark green robes of spider silk, lies the reception. Here, you can gather each and every information you could be looking for. From history that reaches back to the first ages of Aradeia to arcane knowledge, genetical information about every species known to Elvenkind or even the latest gossip about the celebrities of this age, you can find everything that you like.
Due to its rich history and culture and a general curiosity of Elvenkind, the elves are willing and glad to share their information with you. Don't be startled if they react in a colder manner than you are used to. Elethien Elves are known for their distanced stance towards the Omni. Yet, most of them will not hold back most information if they are convinced that you will treat the shared knowledge with respect.

Researchers that access the library's knowledge are preferred as quest hearers for Sithaline's top universities and even grant scholarships for those mortals that appear particularly skilled in their respective fields.

Apart from books, scrolls and other fascinating documents, the receptionists can provide you with information about Sithaline and Camorand as well. They are in a close partnership with the Grand Library of Camorand and can provide a messaging service that sends reports and letters from one Elvish city to the other. Messages like these can be purchased for a few silver coins.

If you need storage of any kind during your stay in the Elven kingdom, the library provides storage boxes against a fee of 1 gold coin per day. This might be rather costly, but storing your items here guarantees magical and phyical protection against theft and destruction. The storage units are heavily guarded by seasoned adventurers and guards.
