Dragonborn
Originally from the continents on the other side of the great ocean to the West, Dragonborns are rare in Aradeia, even rarer than Chitines . Few have crossed the seas to settle down in Lorla and the Wilderness, workign as mercenaries, merchants and scholars. During the last groundings, most of these magical amphibians were extinguished in battle or returned to their home realm. According to their respective family trees, most dragonborns on this planet are descendants of a dimension hopper clan from another time and space. They grasped this world's living arrangements and rules quickly, so it is assumed that their original dimension was similar to the one we know.
Dragonborns are tall, cold-blooded individuals with elemental powers and a high pain tolerance. They prefer the company of mortals over those of dwarves and elves, having a tight bond with animalistic folk, especially domestic amphibian humanoids, orcs, kobolds and the chosen.
Apart from their scaly skin, sharp teeth and slit pupils, some dragonborn are known to have claws and grow wings and tails. The average height for dragonborn males is 185-220 cm. The average height for female dragonborns is 175-200 cm. Highest population of dragonborn individuals in Aradeia is by Serpent's Fang, close to the eastern seas and the dwarven mountains.

Growth Rate & Stages
In total, Dragonborns go through three, sometimes four, stages of growth. The first one being the baby and toddler stage, making them look lizardlike and delicate. They walk upright from the age of five and grow their first tiny wings at age seven.
Shortly after, the start to grow their claws and as they ascend to their teenage years and early twenties, they grow their horns and second eyelids.
As they develop into adults, their wings expand and become firmer, with a leathery structure in their wings and sharp knuckles.
The last stage is reached around the age of fifty, giving them a sharper bone structure and more animalistic and prominent features in both their face (jawline especially), their joints and their tail.

Many mortal men are intimidated by dragonborn women, mostly due to their imposing nature and strong will. Still, it resonates well with orcish men and women, since they share a similar outlook on life. Dragonborn males have an easier time to mingle with the mortals.
