Borgus Finwick
(Former) Tinkerer Borgus Filius Finwick
A former scholar of the Tinkerers, Borgus Finwick was a genius artificer that was well-educated in the construction of sentient machines and gadgets. He was a close friend of Konkôr Barbendt, the dwarven leader of the guild, and was acquainted with scientists from Sithaline City and parts of Camorand. Due to his halfling background, he was one of the scientists working with faeryfolk and knew the darkelf Iomer personally, before he was assassinated along with his comrades.
Right before he bled out, he was saved by Desmond Veringard, a former friend who had been slain by dwarven soldiers, and turned into a coredweller. Nowadays, he shares a home with Veringard and works as his assistant, both in battle and in their workshop. He takes the more reserved role in their companionship while Desmond speaks for both of them most of the time. In order to disguise himself, Borgus wears a special kind of goggles that hide his core-dwelling nature. They blur his appearance, hiding his glowing eyes and veins behind a mattifying spell. Borgus died quite a young man, only reaching age 35 before he passed away. He vaguely remembers the moment that he died. To this day, he hasn't spoken about his contract with the core; fact is that it's strictly bound to Desmond's destiny.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Apart from being a coredweller, he is in a pretty good shape. Due to his work as a scholar, he isn't particularly sportive, but he's able to travel for hours on end without tiring. His back and legs are particularly muscular, due to him carrying heavy equipment over miles without any breaks.

Education
Borgus spent his first years as a student in Corcovah, but soon moved on to higher education at the High Cathedral of Lorla. There, he was advised to continue his path to the Glorious Tinkerer in Dânmaer. He made friends with Konkôr Barbendt, learned how to infuse machines with soul particles and quickly gained popularity among his peers. Interested in the arcane, he continued his studies in Sithaline City after asking for advise from the elven king himself. Aetrocus allowed him to work as a guest lecturer at Sithaline University where he worked and studied for three years before returning to Dânmaer. Since the war was about to turn ugly, he was captured during his second attempt to escape and killed by extremist soldiers under King Stormgard's rule.
Mental Trauma
Even though Borgus rarely speaks about any of it, he is severely traumatised by the life he had to endure during the Bloodthirst King's reign. To this day, he is suffering from symptoms of PTSD. It especially compromised his abilities to trust people he doesn't know.
